Nut, Saddle, and Pegs

The nut, saddle and pegs are all ebony for this violin.  The nut is usually left attached to the top of the finger board and these are placed on after varnishing.  The saddle is cut into the belly (partially or fully through the front plate) after finishing.  The pegs, which were either piloted or piloted and partially reamed are completely fitted after finishing.  In this case the pegs are left set out a fair amount, as this violin will be re-finished eventually.
