- The top is glued after jointing the pieces. Clamps are not necessary.

- The outline on the top and back is established based on the rib outline + an offset for overhang

- A purfling platform is established and purfling channel carved in.

- Purfling cut to size

- The purfling is dry fitted prior to gluing

- The purfling immediately after gluing

- The purfling channel is cut

- The outside shape of the top is set before hollowing

- After the outside shape of the top is established the hollowing begins

- After the plate is thinned and tuned the f-holes are cut, end holes first
